These terms cover your use of johndavidwhalen.info. The site is operated by SYF Consulting LLC, whose principal is JohnDavid Whalen, working from Lisbon, Portugal.
This is a professional portfolio and an introduction to the consulting practice. It describes work already delivered and services available. It is not an offer, and nothing here forms a contract. Engagements begin with a written agreement.
Essays, case notes, and commentary on this site are published to show how I think. They are general observations rather than professional advice on your situation, and they are not legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. Before acting on anything you read here, take advice from someone qualified who knows your circumstances.
The writing, photographs, artwork, and design on this site belong to me or are used with permission. You are welcome to quote a short passage with attribution and a link. Reproducing substantial parts, or using anything here to train a commercial model, requires written permission first.
Published cases describe work as it was delivered. Named clients appear with their agreement. Much of the practice sits under confidentiality agreements and is described only in general terms, or not at all.
This site links to Calendly, Medium, LinkedIn, GitHub, and other services. Those are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies, and I am not responsible for what happens on them.
The site is provided as it is. I aim to keep it accurate and online, and I give no guarantee that it will always be either. I may change or remove content at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and the courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction over any dispute.
